After one year from inauguration, we made a visit at Granarium.
From an ideea of the owner we built a system that combines tradition with modernity. Tthe grinders used are two ancient millstones revisioned. For cleaning the wheat we have developed a combined cleaning PC01. The wheat is then moistened just enough to relax the bran. After milling, a pneumatic conveying line sucks the ground product from the mill and raises it above a plansichter for sieving and separation of the bran from the flour.
This system meets the traditional idea of the grinding stone that leaves in the flour much of the precious vitamins and micro elements, while still taking care to thoroughly clean the grain before grinding it.
With this system it is possible to obtain both semolina and white flours.
